This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information through magicstorycorner.com and any related apps, tools, or features (the "Service").

Magicstorycorner is designed for use by adults. Please read Section 9 (Children) below, it explains how this affects what we collect and from whom.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to anyone who visits our website or creates an account with Magicstorycorner. It does not apply to children: our Service is not directed at, and cannot be used independently by, anyone under 18.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

• Account details: your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Payment information: handled directly by our payment provider; we do not store full card details ourselves.
• Story details: the information you enter while creating a story, such as a child's first name, age range, character traits, and the plot details you write. This information is provided voluntarily by you, the adult account holder, to generate a story, and you control what is entered.
• Optional uploads: if you choose to upload a photo to personalise a character, that image is used solely to help generate that story's illustrations and is handled as described in this policy.
• Anything you send us directly, such as messages through our contact form or support requests.

Information collected automatically

• Technical information such as your device, browser type, and approximate location, derived from your IP address.
• Usage information, such as which pages you visit and how you interact with the Service, collected using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• create and manage your account;
• generate the stories, images, and narration you request;
• process payments and manage your token balance;
• respond to support requests and contact you about your account;
• keep the Service secure and prevent misuse; and
• improve Magicstorycorner, including understanding which features are used most.

We do not use the information you submit about a child to build a profile of that child, to advertise to them, or for any purpose beyond generating the story you have asked for.

4. AI and Other Service Providers

To generate stories, illustrations, and narrated audio, we share the relevant information you have entered (such as your story details, chosen style, and any uploaded image) with third-party AI and technology providers who power these features on our behalf. These providers process this information only to deliver the specific output you have requested, under their own technical and contractual safeguards.

We also work with providers who help us with payment processing, hosting, analytics, and customer support. We share only what each provider needs to do their job, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. Where Your Information Is Stored

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including by the service providers described above. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

6. Cookies and Similar Technology

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Service running, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used.

• Essential cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies help us understand usage and are only set with your consent, which you can manage through your cookie settings at any time.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return, or as required for legal, accounting, or security reasons. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to keep it for longer by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@magicstorycorner.com. We will respond as quickly as we can, and we will not penalise you for making a request.

9. Children

Magicstorycorner is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. Accounts may only be created and used by adults.

We understand that creating a story often involves entering details about a child, such as a first name or character traits. This information is entered by the adult account holder, used solely to generate that story, and is not used to build a profile of the child, market to the child, or for any purpose unrelated to that story. We do not require or encourage uploading identifying information about a child beyond what is needed to personalise a story, and we recommend avoiding full names or identifying photos where possible.

If we become aware that a child has created or attempted to create an account, we will close it and delete any associated information.

10. Keeping Your Information Secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption of payment details by our payment provider and access controls on our systems. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
